Welcome to SCREENsite

You'll want to start your exploration of SCREENsite with our Table of Contents--although you may also jump directly to our searchable index. Some day, maybe while you're waiting for bread to rise, experience the excitement that is our Acknowledgements page.

Remember: wherever you go on SCREENsite you may always return to the Table of Contents by clicking your heels together three times. No. Wait. That's another virtual reality...

To return to the Table of Contents later, or if you happen to get lost, just click on the "go to top" arrow. Here's one to practice on:

If your browser does not use icons, select the bracketed word [CONTENTS], when it is highlighted.

Help is available whenever you see this icon:

If your browser doesn't display images, just look for the highlighted word [HELP]. Usually it'll be at the top of a page.

And you may search SCREENsite at any point that you find this icon:

[INDEX]

If your browser does not use icons, select the bracketed word [INDEX], when it is highlighted.

First Time on the World Wide Web?

If this is the first time you've tried out the World Wide Web, then...we're honored that you picked SCREENsite as your first stop!

You'll quickly get the hang of getting around SCREENsite and the Web, but to get you started use your browser (the software through which you're accessing the Web) to select the following phrase:

Help Me! Help Me Please!

This is an example of a "hypertext link"--which the Web uses to connect one document to another. This particular link connects you to our help document. Most graphical browsers (Netscape Navigator, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mosaic, etc.) will let you select it by putting your cursor on it and clicking a mouse button. Text-based browsers (like Lynx) also let you move the cursor to the phrase and then select it--usually by hitting the ENTER key.
