Rules 'n' Regs

Violators will be banned and site administrators contacted.

We're sure that these rules will evolve as our use of chat develops, but, for starters:

  1. No harassment: sexual, racial, ethnic, etc.
  2. No multiple personalities. TOC can only accept a certain number of users. If you connect under more than one nickname you might be preventing someone else from connecting.
  3. No flood/clone 'bots or other denial-of-service attacks.
  4. No other unauthorized 'bots allowed.
  5. Invalid or faked user@host is not allowed.
  6. Please limit your use of TOC to a reasonable amount of time. Don't leave your IRC client connected for four hours straight.
  7. Official Telecommunication and Film Department business (e.g., chats related to specific courses) has priority over personal chatting.
  8. TCF Online Chat may not be used for illegal or commercial activities.
  9. Try to behave yourself.
